July 5

Still more rain and lots of it. Did mornings work and pulled some weds out of strawberry patch. Read papers and worked a little on mama's dress. Went to Jack Tobins funeral this P.M. Cleaned off chicken roosts and coops. Set one hen tonite. 

July 4

Rain and more rain. Mowed the yard this A.M. and cared for a baby Robin. Cats tore nest out of shade tree but we saved the bird. Put in a rat trap and hung on fence and old birds fed it all evening. Mama was down this P.M. and I cut a dress out for her. Harley was here awhile.

July 3

Went to Sun. school. Mrs Myron resigned and Ruth Haines was elected teacher. Ora and I went to Sara's from school. Ken took folks up this A.M. Raining this evening.

July 2

Cleaned all the house up this A.M. Dug a bucket of potatoes. Mama came down and brought my pillows, also 1/2 gallon of berries. Boys threshing this P.M. I plowed beans most all afternoon. Robert was here for supper. Folks all down tonite.

JULY 1, 1932

Did mornings work and worked in garden. Cleaned up the cellar and mopped it. Did a little more patching. Went fishing this P.M. Borgas have the thresher ready to go, and run some wheat thru this P.M. A strong, cool, west wind has blown all day. Two ducks left.

June 30

Worked a little in garden and did some patching this morning. Robert, Bill and his dad were here for dinner. I went up home this P.M. Helped mama put feathers in 5 new pillows. One pair is to be mine. Did a little work in garden this evening. We made a gallon of ice cream / prepared it and all went over to Hunnicutts. Robert brought ice, and we made 2 gallons of cream.

June 29

Did morning's work and started the ironing. A kettle of tar boiled over on stove. Had to stop and clean kitchen floor and porch, stove and irons. Finished ironing by 2:30 P.M. Did some mending and worked on mama's black dress. Mowed some more grass.
