Cleared out the folks bedroom and tore most all of old paper off of ceiling. Mable came down and we papered the room. Wanda gave mama the paper for a Mothers Day present. Ora summer suit and cap, $3.58 and my girdle, came today.

May 16

Boys started planting corn today. Did the washing and ironing. Went to Bill Halls and purchased 350 sweet potato plants at .25. Helped set them out.

May 15

Ora and I Violet and Maude went to Sun-school. Robert was here for dinner. Uncle Ezra and boys were here a few minutes on way to Seymour. Went up to grandpa's place with folks. Nola and children and Ezra came and they divided fruit, bedding and meat. I walked down home, helped do the milking. Mable and Shelby were here tonite.

May 14

Cleaned all the house up this A.M. Cleaned off chicken roosts and coops out and made myself a new underskirt this afternoon. Violet was down a few minutes tonite. Folks stopped on way home and bought 2 doz. eggs.

May 13

The Lindberg baby was found dead in a brush pile near the estate, yesterday P.M. Kidnapped March 1. Cleaned Ken's bedroom. Moved the heating stove into the wardrobe and took up the linoleum, which was under the stove. Dad and Mamma ate dinner here, were on way to Vernon . Had lettuce for supper.

May 12

Still cloudy and rainy. Helped do mornings work and patched rags the rest of day. Feeling bum.

May 11

Another cloudy and rainy day. Helped do the mornings work. Patched and worked on the back screens. Also two east doors and one south window. Sifted some crack corn. Sold Violet 1 doz. eggs to set. Mamma and Aunt Nola went past. Hogs $3.50; Eggs 10 cents; cream 15 cents.
